Avalon de Rossett - Author, International Speaker, and Creative Force
Avalon, affectionately known as "Doc", is the Head Librarian of www.NewThoughtLibrary.com Educated at Universities of Vienna and New Mexico, he was initially introduced to New Thought by his grandmother and aunts. He studied a number of New Thought modalities including Christian New Thought and Lotus Sutra New Thought. New Thought Library is a digital archive with a theme: The History of Thought with an emphasis on those public domain texts which reveal how the spectrum of New Thought Today helps adherents enjoy the full protection of Humanity's highest collective spiritual expression: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
At the onset of the New Millennium, Avalon was in a disabling automobile accident. After this accident, he had no short term memory for about a year and problems speaking English. As fortune would have it, he was called by a german speaking friend and discovered that he could speak German without difficulty. Over the ensuing years, he has rebuilt his native English skills. During that time Avalon was ordained into DivineUnity New Thought. He has taught classes online via Skype and presented at some New Thought Conferences including the Canadian New Thought Conference in 2014.
Although Avalon began his New Thought ministry in the 90's, creating a number of New Thought Resources supporting the entire spectrum of New Thought, the accident at the turn of the century, in conjunction with other events, precipitated what some call "the dark night of the soul." This prompted him to begin a process of exploring the roots of New Thought as well as the various modalities of New Thought to better understand why some New Thought communities were having problems retaining members. With the intention of growing the New Thought movement, Avalon created a number of programs to support New Thought leaders and communities. Some of these programs include www.DivineJournal.com which enables New Thought leaders to create apps that present Daily New Thought Wisdom.
"We have noted that those New Thought communities participating in our programs do better than survive, they thrive. Early on, beginning with www.FindACenter.com, we opted to provide these resources to the public for free. Thus, visitors reading works in www.NewThoughtLibrary.com can easily find New Thought Communities around the corner or around the world through the directory system. We have moved to a sponsorship model which enables interested parties to sponsor their favorite New Thought Center or Centers and thereby upgrade free Charity listings in the New Thought Directory system to Prosperity listings."
Since the inception of World New Thought, or the New Thought Network Serving New Thought, we have always put all contributions back into the ministry. We do not have a paid staff at this time. When there are enough contributions to pay for all the web services necessary to support the New Thought Library then the board will insure that I am paid for that work. In the meantime, it is a labor of love and ministry.
